Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is an engineering consultant specialising in the field of:

Since 1997 Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is involved in the North Caspian Exploration Project, designing the artificial islands required by Agip KCO for drilling purposes. In these years we have expanded our activities up to the point where we now have three offices in Kazakhstan; Almaty, Aktau and Atyrau, from which we offer all our engineering and consultancy services.

Facilities
Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is a self supporting and fully licensed organisation, with full access to the know-how and expertise of the Dutch company Witteveen+Bos. In our three fully equipped offices we have a workforce of combined local and international engineers and support staff. Through these offices we can be close to our clients and, together with our Kazakh partners, we offer the combination of international know-how with Kazakh practical experience.

Daughter company of Witteveen+Bos
WBK is a 100 % daughter company of Witteveen+Bos (W+B), an independent company of consulting engineers from the Netherlands. WBK can fully rely on the resources, expertise and experience of W+B in the provision of its services.

Witteveen+Bos, established in 1946, employs a permanent staff of about 800 engineers and supporting staff and is wholy owned by its employees. In 2007 the company had a turnover of 91 M€, of which 20 % through its international offices in Riga (Latvia), Jakarta (Indonesia), St Peterburg (Russia), Aktau, Atyrau and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The companies engineering activities are divided over five sectors:
- Large Infrastructure: structural engineering, bridges, tunnels, railways and underground structures
- Urban Infrastructure: traffic and roads, railways, sewage collection, urban infrastructure planning and development, geo-information systems, project management, cost engineering
- Ports and hydraulic infrastructure: coastal and river engineering, flood protection, ports and waterways, offshore engineering)
- Water: wastewater treatment, water supply, geohydrology, ecology, water management, E/M-engineering, information technology and automation
- Environment: impact analysis, environmental quality, soils and sanitation, air, waste control, noise abatement

Witteveen+Bos provides all types of consultancy services, project appraisal, feasibility studies, design and engineering, construction management and supervision. Our consultants try to understand the needs of the clients and deliver them the solutions which they value most.
