Karaganski Rock Load-Out facility

Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan, in joint operation with NIPIneftegas, designed the 600 metre long breakwater with two berths and stockpile areas along the rock escarpment along the east side of the bay. The project included an access road to bridge about 100 metre level difference between the rock plateau and the coastline and a link road to the quarry.

The project was constructed in 2003 under a turn-key arrangement. Witteveen+Bos specialist supported the client during the commissioning of the facilities.
