Introduction

Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is a 100 % subsidiary of Witteveen+Bos and has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1997. Since then, we have opened three offices in Aktau (2000), Atyrau (2003) and Almaty (2007). With the projects that we coordinate from these offices, we want to offer a permanent contribution to the development of Kazakhstan. At this moment Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is actively promoting all the important fields in which Witteveen+Bos is working. The main engineering fields Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan is focussing on, are marine construction, water management and urban development. In all these fields we are able to assist clients from the preliminary concepts up to the supervision of realisation. Moreover, we cooperate with local and international partners with whom we can guarantee a high quality end result.

Cooperation with local companies and employees is the core of our approach doing business in Kazakhstan. By working with local content we are able to fit international engineering to the Kazakh environment. Accordingly, our solutions comply with both Kazakh and international standards. Therefore these solutions are the best for the problems our clients are facing.

Strategic Alliances
In order to underline and consolidate its cooperation with local partners, Witteveen+Bos Kazakhstan has initiated long term cooperation with several Kazakh companies. In Almaty we cooperate with different companies from the Mercury Holding. This holding is developing multiple enterprises which contribute to the development of Kazakhstan. In Atyrau we have initiated a design team with members from Kazpimunaygaz and Witteveen+Bos. This design team is capable of producing high quality detail engineering of water treatment facilities.
